Barefoot Body offers an embodied, trauma-sensitive, and inclusive approach to yoga education with trainings, courses and events for yoga teachers who want to make an impact beyond the mat.

We actively support and encourage teachers bringing yoga into non-traditional settings and less-represented communities.

WORKSHOPS, TALKS & GATHERINGS

A unique portfolio of courses to inspire your curiosity, deepen your practice and add a new dimension to your teaching

We're delighted to welcome amazing guest tutors to our Workshop Programme who share their knowledge, creativity and experience. In addition to Amy Matthews and Leslie Kaminoff whose online course forms an integral part of our Yoga Teacher Training & Enrichment Programme, we have hosted both Amy and Donna Farhi on their European trips.

We have plans afoot to bring you fascinating content from innovators researching and exploring Embodied Social Justice, Embodiment & Gender, Trauma-Informed Practice and Teaching, Yoga Outreach, and a series of Embodied Anatomy workshops. Already in 2019 we have welcomed Sophie Ansari for a weekend examining privilege and accessibility, and Matthew Remski who presented material from his newly published book. We also look forward to the Autumn when Theo Wildcroft will be with us in Cambridge to talk about post-lineage matters, and to facilitate a workshop around community and democratic education.

EMBODIED SANSKRIT [WORKSHOP]
A one-day dive into the embodiment of sound and its evolution into the language of yoga for practitioners with Tiffany Thorne. Familiarise yourself through deep listening, vocalising and moving, and then get out crayons and paper for creating the sounds through the letter shapes.
YOGA BOOK SWAP
Bring one, take one... or just come for a cup of tea and a chat with other yoga teachers and practitioners in our community. Our Book Swap runs monthly in Cambridge.
