An experiential facilitation of early embryological development and its relationship to our adult body structures, systems and movement. Theory and practical content includes the development of the front, middle and back bodies; the origins, development and containment of the vertical axis, and the spiral development of the limbs.

Explore the concept of vibration as the origin and fundamental underlying support of all structures and movements
Learn about the early embryonic disc and the differentiation of the front body (endoderm), back body (ectoderm) and middle body (mesoderm)
Discover new vertical axis support through awareness of notochord, gut tube, and neural tube structures
Explore the spiralic development of the limbs as support for pathways of movement
Practice "embryological breathing" as an underlying support for internal and external respiration
This course is designed for teachers with an existing 200 hour yoga teacher training certificate or equivalent. The content assumes you have some experience in anatomy and physiology, class planning and teaching methodologies, as well as some familiarity with yoga history and philosophy.
DATES & VENUE
The training will held between Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd February 2020 between 10.30am and 5.30pm in North London.
The venue in North London will most likely be the ARC centre, which is easily accessible with good transport routes as well as accommodation options for those that need them. Mats and props are provided. Exact venue will be confirmed nearer the training date.

STUDY & ASSESSMENT
3 hours of pre-course study for specialised reading
6 hours of post-course study to complete assessed assignments
Self-reflective practice diary
8 weeks prior to the start date, you'll received the Course Manual and a reading list detailing the texts you'll need to access
Comprehensive course handouts will be provided
You'll need access to a computer, internet, camera, printer, and stationery
Mats and props are provided on trainings days at the ARC Centre.

Aki is a real explorer of all movements and the living body-mind. She specialises in embodied anatomy, developmental movement, embryology and restorative yoga through an exploratory lens that is both fun, light and profound. Aki encourages her students to be engage in an enquiry so they find a path that is unique, honest and true to them. She's also a registered somatic movement therapist/educator and a developmental/relational trauma therapist.
FEES & PAYMENT
Full course fees are £440.
However, if you are registered on our 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training, this could form part of your personal portfolio of Electives Training hours. Bursaries and scholarships are available.

Your deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances
We will only refund a whole training fee for fees paid in full prior to the date 8 weeks before your course start date, minus your deposit
No refunds will be offered on training fees on cancellations after this date
