5 DAY CPD FOR TEACHERS | NOVEMBER 2020 | LONDON | £660
This course is designed for teachers with an existing 200 hour yoga teacher training certificate or equivalent. The content assumes you have some experience in anatomy and physiology, class planning and teaching methodologies, as well as some familiarity with yoga history and philosophy.
UNIT 1 ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY
This will focus particularly on the psycho-emotional responses to stress and relaxation, with particular reference to the nervous system, musculoskeletal system and cardio-respiratory vascular system.
UNIT 2 FUNDAMENTAL FORMS OF RESTORATIVE YOGA
This will identify the principles of Restorative practice and the experiential practice of forms from the following categories: Supine, Prone, Lateral, Rotation, and Inversion.
UNIT 3 SUBTLE ANATOMY
The pranic system will be explored with particular attention to the concept of mudra, both body seals and hand seals, and sounding. The Panca Maya/Kosha model will also be explored with links to somatic principles.
UNIT 4 HISTORY & PHILOSOPHY
The philosophical underpinnings of the practice of Restorative Yoga with regard to key terminology and concepts from the Yoga Sutras, Upanishads and Tantras to demonstrate the very ancient use of props and to investigate the substratum of Being. In addition, incorporating a review of techniques of applied Non-duality, ancient and modern. Practicum throughout.
UNIT 5 PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE
How to construct a personal practice; how to construct a 60 minute class plan; how to integrate into existing classes. Ideas for workshops. How to manage prop-lite (studio-reality) scenarios. Teaching techniques and methodologies.
DATES & VENUE
The training will be held from Friday 20th to Tuesday 24th November 2020 between 10.30am and 5.30pm at The Chocolate Studios in London.
The centre is easily accessible with good transport routes as well as accommodation options for those that need them. Mats and props are provided.
Free tea is included on all training days!

STUDY & ASSESSMENT
6 hours of pre-course study including reading and self-reflection assignments. This ensures everyone arrives primed and well prepared
6 hours of post-course study to complete assessed assignments
60 minute lesson plan
Submission of a filmed sequence for feedback on criteria including structure, suitability of content, and inclusivity
8 weeks prior to the start date, you'll received the Course Manual and a reading list detailing the texts you'll need to access
Comprehensive course handouts will be provided
You'll need access to a computer, internet, camera, printer, and stationery. Mats and props are provided on trainings days

FEES & PAYMENT
Full course fees are £660. However, if you are registered on our 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training, this could form part of your personal portfolio of Electives Training hours. Bursaries are available.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
Your deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances. We will only refund a whole training fee for fees paid in full prior to the date 8 weeks before your course start date, minus your deposit. No refunds will be offered on training fees on cancellations after this date. Fees are non-transferable to another training.
