3-DAY CPD COURSE FOR TEACHERS | JUNE 2020 in LONDON | £440
Engage in practices around consent dialogues, and exercises to refresh the perception and evaluation of our own body states in relation to others
Develop attunement, conscious feedback, and touch skills that draw from the field of Somatic Psychology
Feel more confident in defining, communicating and teaching within your own professional code of ethics, as well as applying critical thinking to conversations around relational abuse in the yoga world
Acquire or refresh the sensitivities and skills needed to exercise respect and trauma-sensitivity towards everyone who enters your teaching scenarios
This course is designed for teachers with an existing 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate or equivalent. The content assumes you have some experience in anatomy and physiology, class planning and teaching methodologies, as well as some familiarity with yoga history and philosophy.
DAY 1 CONSENT & CHOICE

Seeking consensus on the scope of practice for yoga teachers; what are you trained/not trained to do or be?
Defining the framework of teacher/student relationships and primary considerations for how we as teachers 'contract' with our students
Understanding ‘self-agency’ and the basics of ongoing-informed consent
Examining the success/failures of peer-support in an unregulated profession (and post-lineage context)
DAY 2 SERVICE & THE BHAGAVAD GITA

Exploring the concept of embodiment as a process of perceiving and evaluating our own physical sensations
Discovering ways to remain connected to our own embodied experience in relation to others in teacher/student settings
Practicing conscious listening and speaking to underpin non-violent communication and creative collaboration
DAY 3 INTEGRITY IN BUSINESS
Tutor: Marion Poerio
Discovering how to make a living with integrity in a commercial world
Capturing the heart of authentic branding by clarifying vision, values and ‘niche’ through creative practices
Exploring the identity and growth of our community through the lens of service
Learning how to navigate social media with authenticity, confidence and courage
DATES & VENUE
The training will be held from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st April 2020 between 10.30am and 5.30pm at The ARC Centre in London.
The centre is easily accessible with good transport routes as well as accommodation options for those that need them. Mats and props are provided.
Free tea is included on all training days!
STUDY & ASSESSMENT
6 hours of pre-course study including reading and self-reflection assignments. This ensures everyone arrives primed and well prepared
6 hours of post-course study to complete assessed assignments
- Self-reflective diary/journal of practices arising from the course
8 weeks prior to the start date, you'll received the course documentation and a Reading/Viewing list of relevant articles and video clips
Comprehensive course handouts will be provided

FEES & PAYMENT
Full course fees are £440 with payment plans to help spread the cost. If you are registered on our 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training & Enrichment Programme, this forms part of your required study within the Core Modules. Bursary applications welcome.

Books from the required reading list (although we do our best to locate free online resources; £40 fee for installment payment plans; travel, accommodation, and catering/subsistence costs; costs associated with access to a computer, internet connectivity, email account, printer, stationery, and camera for video assignment (contact us for Learning Support).
REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
Your deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances. We will only refund a whole training fee for fees paid in full prior to the date 8 weeks before your course start date, minus your deposit. No refunds will be offered on training fees on cancellations after this date. Fees are non-transferable to another training or course
