ADVANCE YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF TRAUMA-INFORMED YOGA & MOVEMENT

This course is an extension of our Level 1 Trauma-Informed Yoga & Movement Course, and builds on the principles of trauma-sensitivity in relation to yoga and other movement modalities. With a more practical approach, you'll be invited to develop your teaching skills with trauma-informed movement work that you can take into your various settings as yoga teachers, movement facilitators and/or therapists.

Build on the principles of yoga theory with an understanding of the basic neurobiology of trauma

Learn the ways in which movement can support trauma and/or be possibly traumatic

Explore and practice how to integrate trauma-informed movement practices into general yoga and therapeutic movement settings including working with language and invitational cues

Discover how to support individuals in special settings including issues of health and safety, supervision or mentorship, self-care/self-awareness and "broken-healer" issues

Approach the nature of complex trauma and working in specific areas of trauma

COURSE CONTENT
Separated into two sufficient parts (Level 1 and Level 2), this course is designed for the following yoga and movement professionals:

yoga teachers with an existing 200 hour teacher training certificate or equivalent together with other trauma training or professional experience
-
movement facilitators (eg. dance, somatics) together with other trauma training or professional experience
-
registered therapists (eg. counsellors, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, body psychotherapists) looking to learn more about how movement/body awareness can support people who have experienced trauma.
DATES & VENUE
The training will be held between Friday 25th to Sunday 27th June 2021 between 10.30am and 4.30pm. Day 3 will be an in-person day at Chocolate Studios in North East London. The centre is easily accessible with good transport routes as well as accommodation options for those that need them. Mats and props are provided. Free tea is included on all training days!
The content may also be delivered remotely via online platforms should it be necessary to avoid in-person trainings.

Full course fees are £330. However, if you are registered on our 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training, this could form part of your personal portfolio of Electives Training hours.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

Your deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances. We will only refund a whole training fee for fees paid in full prior to the date 4 weeks before your course start date, minus your deposit. No refunds will be offered on training fees on cancellations after this date. Fees are non-transferable to another training
