This CPD-accredited course* is designed specifically for yoga teachers who want to feel confident guiding their own students in pranayama. By committing to experiencing pranayama first-hand, you’ll gain not only the knowledge but also the embodied understanding needed to teach with authenticity and confidence. This is a pre-recorded course that is delivered over ten weeks via our Google Classroom. A new recording, along with handouts and diary sheets is released each Monday, from January 11th through Monday, 15th March; and all materials remain accessible until 30th June 2027. Over the course of the programme, you will: *Establish your own sustainable breathing/pranayama practice *Understand the underlying anatomy, both scientific and energetic, of breathing and pranayama *Explore a range of accessible techniques, including ’bandhas’ *Learn how to introduce and develop pranayama in you own classes. Whether you’re looking to expand your teaching toolkit, deepen your personal practice, or fulfil continuing education requirements, this course offers a supportive and practical pathway. It is lead by experienced yoga teacher/trainer and Somatic Movement Educator, Beverley Nolan REQUIREMENTS *Up to 90 minutes per week to watch the video information session and the guided practices. *A commitment to 10-15 minutes dedicated practice at least 5 times per week throughout the course. *Maintaining a personal diary, with the summaries submitted after Week 4 and 9 for tutor feedback. ASSIGNMENTS A short quiz to test your learning at the end of each week’s class. Practice Diary–submit your summaries after Week 4, and Week 8, using the forms available in the Google Classroom. Coursework submitted after 30th June will not be reviewed. ACCREDITATION Yoga Alliance (International): 15 Hours. A CPD certificate will be awarded on successful completion of all requirements.
