Authentic Movement, Movement Observation & Analysis. and Somatic Movement Sequencing sit naturally alongside one another. They offer complementary ways to accumulate the skills to holds space, to see clearly, and to design content that supports movement education and integration in the people you teach or support. The three weekend trace this arc sequentially, while working as stand-alone units of study. You can book each separately or we have scheduled them so that you develop what you learn and practice in Authentic Movement into specific skills you can use in your professional settings WHAT IS THE SERIES ABOUT? Authentic Movement deepens your capacity to be present with inner experience — your own, and others. Movement Observation & Analysis sharpens your ability to see what is actually happening in movement, and to describe it with precision. Somatic Movement Sequencing employs these skills in the design of group or client sessions. Together, they form a grounded, practical foundation for working more somatically in any professional context. Read more in the individual course listings. IS THIS SERIES FOR YOU? Yes, defintiely if you are working professionally with movement, the body, or both. It is most relevant to: – Yoga, Pilates, and somatic movement teachers – Dance and movement facilitators – Somatic counsellors, coaches, and somatic therapists who work with embodied process PREPARATION Participants are asked to complete approximately 2–3 hours of pre-course reading for each weekend, provided in advance via our Google Classroom. PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION Each weekend is a stand alone components of Barefoot Body’s associate programme with ISMETA and can count towards the Barefoot Body's SME (Somatic Movement Educator) programme for those who later choose to pursue the full qualification and work towards registered status of Associate Somatic Movement Professional with ISMETA. Cancellation Policy
Full refunds are only provided in the case where the event is cancelled by the organiser. Refund less £50 admin fee for all cancellations up to 4 weeks before course start date. Refunds less £50 admin fee within 4 weeks of course start date ONLY apply if your place can be filled from the waiting list, otherwise no refund is applied for late cancellation.
