YOGA & SOMATICS
EDUCATION ENRICHMENT OUTREACH
Our mission is to explore how somatic education and the concept of embodiment can inform our own self-understanding, support connections in our communities, and enhance our relationship to the world around us. We aim to create bespoke trainings, welcome inspiring workshop facilitators, and cultivate outreach projects that deliver to the highest standards.
We're delighted to welcome amazing guest tutors to our Workshop Programme who share their knowledge, creativity and experience. In addition to Amy Matthews and Leslie Kaminoff whose online course forms an integral part of our Yoga Teacher Training & Enrichment Programme, we have hosted both Amy and Donna Farhi on their European trips.
We have plans afoot to bring you fascinating content from innovators researching and exploring Embodied Social Justice, Embodiment & Gender, Trauma-Informed Practice and Teaching, Yoga Outreach, and a series of Embodied Anatomy workshops. Already in 2019 we have welcomed Sophie Ansari for a weekend examining privilege and accessibility, and Matthew Remski who presented material from his newly published book. We also look forward to the Autumn when Theo Wildcroft will be with us in Cambridge to talk about post-lineage matters, and to facilitate a workshop around community and democratic education.
Our portfolio of unique training courses includes an above industry standard Yoga Teacher Training & Enrichment Programme (we are an accredited RYS200 training organisation), a Yoga Discovery Course, an in depth Restorative Teacher Training Course, a trauma sensitive Yoga Nidra Facilitator training, and an experiential and somatic approach to perinatal teaching: Embodied Yoga Birth. Click on the images below for more details. NEW offerings for 2019 include Embodied Sanskrit and a Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator training PLUS an opportunity to curate a 300H teacher training.
Our core faculty team has worked and studied together over the last seven years in various constellations. We are inspired by our individual interests and passions, and our shared vision for how and where the practices of yoga and embodied movement modalities might make tangible, positive differences in the world. You can find out more about the team members: Beverley Nolan, Tiffany Thorne, Ashley MacDonald and Tamara Ashley by following the image links below. We are also delighted to work with experienced and inspirational guest tutors on our core trainings.
